Protecting business and revenue

With clear and impactful legal advisory within Intellectual Property and Commercial Contracts.

What we do

We help clients protect their business and their revenue, not only the existing but also the future ones.

It is super ambitious to protect the future, but our clients expect that we are able to do just that. Smart people and ambitious companies are focused on the present but plan for the future, and we want to be part of that plan, so we can help protect existing and future business and revenue.

The fundamental question for the most successful companies is: "why do we do it?" We are eager to understand the business that drives the need for protection.

Who we are

We are a growing team with a passion for law and tech

We rethink how specialised legal advisory is delivered.

We are not set in old conservative ways like the traditional law firms. As innovators we believe in building a better future for companies that acknowledge legal risk, and want to reduce them by integrating legal advisory and legal assurance into their day-to-day decision-making.

Our proposition combines senior legal expertise with proprietary legal tech, delivering immediate access to clear, actionable legal advisory without unnecessary friction — and without the fear of exorbitant legal costs.

Behind everything we do is a team of people who truly care. We bring ourselves to the table: open-minded, collaborative, and ready to make something great.

Legal advisory for smart people and ambitious companies.

Registered vs. unregistered brand

In Denmark you can own a trademark you never registered. But the right has a threshold, and nobody can find it before they pick a similar name.

You can infringe without knowing it

A trademark registration only covers the countries, goods and logo it was filed for. Four questions to check before you end up as the one infringing.

Why are trademarks important?

A domain name is not a trademark

You can own a trademark you never registered.

In Denmark, steady use of a name can create a trademark right on its own. No application, no fee. But there are two catches.

Catch one: the threshold

The use has to reach beyond a local area. A café everyone in town knows can still fall short of it. Where exactly the line goes depends on the case, which is part of the problem: you may only find out where you stand when someone challenges you.

Catch two: nobody can see it

An unregistered right isn't in any register. When another company searches before choosing its name, yours doesn't show up.

So you may find each other later, after the logo, the packaging and the first campaigns are paid for. On both sides.

What a registration adds

A registration is public from the day you apply. Anyone who checks before choosing a name can see that yours is claimed, before they spend money on it.

The difference that matters most in practice is visibility. Others can find a registration in time.

Two questions for your own names

Which of your names would show up if someone searched the register today?

Has any of them grown beyond the town or region where it started?
